Discount Pricing

We know lawyers are expensive. So, we like to do what we can to offer reduced pricing to clients when we can. We do this through providing what are referred to as “unbundled” legal services. In other words, partial legal assistance that is not “bundled” together with everything else a lawyer would typically do for you if they represented you throughout the duration of your case.

We provide this option in two primary ways:

Legal research for particular legal questions you have, and:

Legal writing assistance with any legal drafting you need to do for your case.

For legal research, we will spend 1-4 hours looking through state and federal legislative law, case law, and other relevant sources of law to give you a straight answer to your question and summarize the state of the law on your question. At our hourly rate of $300/hr, that means we will give you a trusted answer to your question for between $300-1200 dollars, depending on the complexity of your question and the nature of the research required. For legal writing assistance, we primarily focus on assisting pro se litigants (people representing themselves without a lawyer) improve their post-conviction petitions. So, if hiring a firm like ours to do a full review of your case, draft and file a petition, and represent you throughout your proceeding, is not affordable, you can reach out to us to see if we can help make your pro se motion as close to the same quality as a seasoned post-conviction attorney as possible. For these services, we base our pricing on approximately half the cost of what we would charge for drafting and filing a post-conviction petition ourselves.
